Welcome to the 9H1IA 10 Meter CW Beacon Website.
Hi, The name this end is William A. Batey or Bill as everyone calls me. Callsigns G0DEO / 9H1IA / 9H1BBS / 8P9HY (System Operator)
I am the owner and operator of a new 10 Meter CW Beacon system that went into operation on the 15th August 2006 from my QTH in the town of Mosta on the main Island of Malta.

This CW Beacon went into active operation at 00:00:01 Zulu on the 15th August 2006 and is transmitting from a Yaesu FT-857D running at a power of 7.5 Watts / 8.75 dbW into a specificly tuned Antron 99 omnidirectional vertical antenna at 129 Meters ASL measured at the base of the antenna.
The Location of the beacon is the town of Mosta on the main Island of Malta. Reference - 35° 54' 46" N / 14° 25' 41" E
Frequency : 28.174000 MHz
Mode : A1
The system is powered by a 100 Watt Photovoltic Monocrystalline panel with a 10 Amp Charge Controller charging a bank of two 75AH deep cycle sealed Gel batteries.
The battries are connected to produce 150AH 12 Volts DC to drive a 3KW Inverter to provide power for other radio related equipment.
